I must tell you it's really nice to finally make the projects that were in my head for such a long time finally see the light of day! :)))
This one was another inspired on my daughter, although she is still very young to learn the time, watching her play in general makes me remember my childhood and some of the toys I had. While growing up we had a chalkboard with magnet letters, numbers, AND A CLOCK where you would turn the pointers and say the time!
I actually saved a pizza base from a frozen pizza to do this project but while putting the clock together I found out it was actually not perfectly round anymore.. so I used carton instead...
- I made a circle with a compass on the card, this will be the base.
- Then on a sheet of paper (any color you'd like, mine is white scrap paper), make two circles, the first with the same size as the one in the card and another one a little bit smaller.
- In the middle of these 2 circles you will mark the hours. You can get the hours marks by using a compass or by folding the sheet (I was preparing some photos, but I think I'll make a tutorial about this one...)
- I drew another circle same size as the smaller circle in decorative paper.
- After gluing everything together I used adhesive contact paper to protect the clock.
- Time to draw the pointers and line them with colored paper...
- ...and pin them to the center of the clock!
Voilá, the final result:
Happy time telling!
