Shelf with card boxes and jars!

Hi there!

Today I have a new venture to tell you about...

My "office" is still a big mess mainly went I work, because of all the recyclables I have stored and the materials needed to actually produce something, or maybe I'm just messy when I work?

So I keep on doing things that I think will help me keep all organized... To be honest, it helps, but I still need to reorganize everything when I finish something... :D

I had already done a small shelf with an old piece of wood and some carton boxes, but I decided to make it pretty and also use the space under to store the ribbons in a practical way.

This was the shelf:

This was the material I used after, to make it prettier, bigger and even more useful... :D

So the first step was to cover the boxes with old jeans and make a hole on them to put a card roll to store the ribbons, so they can actually roll when I pull them, tell me if you have ever seen a shelf so well dressed (the sides are old jeans and the top a old shirt):

After that I though that maybe I could use extra space and could have another shelf on top to put extra stuff, so I grabbed some empty jars I had stored and decorated them with cord (it's also recycled because it actually came with a package :D):

The jars will serve double purpose as I will keep my dried rose petals and lavender in them!

And this is the final result!

Hope you like it! I surely do! ;)

Headbands

I made this two headbands as a thank you gift for the neighbours' girls for giving their old toys to my daughter.

I used an old pair of jeans, for a long time my favourites until they stopped fitting... and a old blouse:

I am quite happy with the result!

Fuxico flower pin

The last time my mother in law was here I told her about this project and that I had a lot of tissues to reuse, she immediately told me that she was going to teach me how to do a flower with tissue that was really pretty! I though... oh God! I'm not that much of a sewing crafty person (or crafty at all, by that matter), but... it's really easy!

She made the first one to show me, we only used the tin can to make the circles (each circle is a petal).

I'm now using it as a pin!

And finally I had an idea...

I think it worked out really well! :)

Scent Bags

I know, I know... not everyone will find fabric as good as this one to make these scent bags, but I did find it when we moved houses and we also had lavender in the garden and our roses have a very good fragrance, how lucky are we, hum?

This was the result:

Passport holder

I always keep the packaging of underwear as well... because it usually has buttons so it's good to store shampoos and such when you travel. I was rearranging the bathroom cabinet and found this extra packaging:

It's too narrow for the shampoos... but it's still handy for travelling... Just added a cord to put around the neck so it can hold your documents to travel:

And of course you can personalize it and make it pretty with some beads!!!
